Of course, to see immediate changes you might have to hire a team of marketing pros or hire a technician to create an application that allows you to effectively automate your marketing efforts. But you might not have the money at your disposal to take these approaches.
Six Ways to Start Earning More Money at Your Small Business Website Right Away
You also don’t need to burn through your hard earned profits to start increasing your small business website customer sales. In fact, some of the ways to increase customer sales are so simple you’ll wonder why you didn’t think of them before. But never mind that. Instead, start incorporating one or more of the following steps into your marketing strategy today.
Packaging – If you sell colorful lotions, creams, candies, beverages, household products, etc. design your products in clear containers. Let consumers enjoy checking out the vibrant colors you create your products in. It’s a great way to tickle another of your website visitors’ senses. After all, people associate colors with emotions, smells and tastes.
Content – Tell visitors to your small business website about the naturally healthy ingredients you use in your products. For example, if you sell energy drinks, tell consumers that you never use caffeine or sugar in your drinks. If you sell books, tell consumers that your print books are made from recycled paper in effort to avoid cutting down trees.
Copy – Keep the writing at your website brief. Speak to your target audience as if a customer was standing in front of you. Be conversational, inviting visitors to your website to keep clicking through the various pages at your website. Create copy that inspires people to make purchases, copy that makes it easy for visitors to find your check out pages and order carts.
Discussion forum – Add a discussion forum to your small business website (if it fits your brand and marketing strategy). If you choose this option, make sure you moderate the forum to avoid receiving loads of spam and undesired comments. That said, discussion forums and blog comment sections are great ways to engage website visitors, encouraging them to return to stay abreast of new discussions/comments.
